Day of the Dead Ritual Circle

ritual circle

Every November 2nd at 12pm and 5pm

Potrero Del Sol Park
25th Street and San Bruno Avenue

The Ritual Circle is a ceremony created to take time among the altars to honor all of our ancestors, our environment, and our connection to the earth and each other. All are invited to participate.

Together we hold space for healing and reflecting on our ancestral roots in a beautiful community of heart connection. This event is comprised of poetry performances, dance, music, and ritual ceremonies. Performers of all backgrounds and faiths come together to be inspired by Mesoamerican Day of the Dead traditions and to make this community event relevant to the San Francisco Bay Area as a whole.

In this special month, in which everything is party and dance, we remember with love, traditions, and praises.

MARIGOLD PROJECT

The Marigold Project serves the community by creating healing spaces connecting us to our ancestors and our impermanence in One Spirit.

By providing cultural education, art and writing therapy workshops, and altar building skills connecting as a community, we honor the circle of life and death. We respect life by teaching our children who we are in the cosmos, our humanity, and the preservation of our planet.
