About the Marigold Project
Marigold Project is a Mission based nonprofit. Our purpose is to
preserve, promote, and share the rituals and practices of Day of
the Dead in San Francisco.
We do this each year by:
* Coordinating and commissioning the free, outdoor Altar Exhibit
on November 2
* Publishing this website
* Distributing flyers and posters for the Procession and Altar Exhibit
* Creating a community calendar of San Francisco Day of the Dead
events, leading up to November 2
* Hosting two fundraisers that aim to educate neighbors, friends
and our local community about Day of the Dead.
Marigold Project is fiscally sponsored by CounterPULSE. We are generously supported by the San Francisco
Arts Commission, the Mission Merchants Association, Community Artists and Individuals.
Marigold Project is:
* Siouxsie Oki
* Fernando Marti
* Maica Folch
If you are interested in volunteering or helping out (we can ALWAYS
use help!), please go to our Get Involved page.
If you have something to add to the community calendar, please email Siouxsie Oki
